Educator, Counselor, and Faith-Driven Mentor
Ma. Theresa Calar Dizon is a passionate, proactive, and deeply committed educator and formative counselor with over four decades of experience dedicated to shaping minds and nurturing hearts. Her mission is rooted in helping students grow in self-awareness, build healthy relationships, and find deeper meaning in their personal journeys through spiritual and psychological accompaniment.
She holds a Master’s degree in Religious and Values Education, specializing in Formative Counseling and Spiritual Direction, from De La Salle University, Manila. Her academic foundation is further strengthened by her studies in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, and Educational Management. True to her belief in lifelong learning, she has pursued numerous trainings and certifications including the Enneagram Certification, Family Dynamics and Counseling, Formative Processing Techniques, Matatag Curriculum Planning, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Currently serving as the Students Formation Officer at St. Bernadette College of Alabang, Ma. Theresa leads student formation initiatives focused on behavioral wellness, spiritual growth, and values education. She also teaches at the junior high, senior high, and college levels, specializing in Christian Living, Personal Development, Philosophy, and Family Life Education. Her teaching approach consistently centers on creating meaningful, safe spaces where students are encouraged to reflect, process, and grow.
Her earlier years at De La Salle Zobel were marked by her dynamic roles across all educational levels, from preschool to senior high school, where she lived out the Lasallian mission of faith, service, and community. Beyond formal classroom settings, she has been a sought-after speaker and facilitator for recollections, parenting seminars, and spiritual retreats.
Ma. Theresa is a long-standing member of Signum Fidei Philippines, the Religious Educators Association of the Philippines (REAP), and the League of Catechists and Religious Educators of the Philippines. Her work continues to reflect a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and excellence. For her, education is not merely the transmission of knowledge—it is a sacred calling that speaks to both the mind and the soul.
