Ludivina Abig-Cambay is a seasoned academic professional and a highly respected licensed librarian, currently serving as the Head Librarian of Saint Bernadette College of Alabang. With over three decades of exemplary service in library and information science, she is recognized for her unwavering dedication to academic integrity, knowledge accessibility, and transformative educational leadership.
Her academic credentials are a testament to her commitment to excellence. Cambay holds a Master of Arts in Library Science from Centro Escolar University, has earned 33 doctoral units in Educational Management from Cavite State University, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Education, major in Library Science, at Manuel Luis Quezon University. These qualifications have grounded her in both theory and practice, enabling her to lead with depth, foresight, and vision.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Cambay held numerous key leadership positions at Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo – De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, including Cataloger, Section Head, Unit Head of Reader Services, and Head of Educational Media Services. Her expansive experience in academic libraries spans technical services, collection development, reader engagement, and institutional library strategy.
She is an active member of esteemed professional bodies such as the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI), the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians (PAARL), and the Cavite Librarians Association, Inc. (CLASS), where she served as a Nomelec Member for nearly a decade. These affiliations underscore her influence and commitment to advancing the field of librarianship nationwide.
An accomplished speaker and researcher, Dr. Cambay has presented at various local and international forums, including a prominent engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she discussed user engagement with academic learning commons. She remains active in continuous professional development and scholarly discourse.
