Hello, I’m Annabelle S. Pelayo, MAEd-GC—Guidance Officer, educator, and lifelong advocate for student well-being.
My heart has always been drawn to understanding people—especially students—and helping them find their voice, their strengths, and their purpose. That passion has shaped a journey in education and guidance counseling that spans more than three decades.
I began my career in 1991 as a College Administrative Staff, where I gained valuable experience in student services and academic support. In 1996, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Manuel Luis Quezon University, and shortly after, I stepped into the world of recruitment as an HR Recruitment Officer from 1997 to 1998. That role gave me a deeper appreciation for the role of psychological insight in organizational settings.
But my calling was always in guidance. From 1998 to 2007, I served as a Psychometrician and Guidance Officer in another institution, where I worked closely with students through assessments, counseling, and developmental programs. In 2003, I expanded my role in education by becoming a College Instructor, a role I continue to fulfill with pride today.
In 2014, I embraced the role I now hold—as a Guidance Officer at San Beda College Alabang. For over 10 years, I’ve been privileged to walk alongside students as they navigate their academic, emotional, and personal growth. I earned my Master of Arts in Education major in Guidance and Counseling in 2015 from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, further strengthening my ability to offer professional, heart-centered support.
Whether in a counseling session, a classroom, or a quiet hallway conversation, I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where students feel heard and understood. I believe that guidance is not just a job—it’s a ministry of presence, patience, and empowerment.
If you’re looking to connect about student development, guidance services, or simply want to collaborate on creating more nurturing educational environments, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me at aspelayo@sbca.edu.ph.
Together, let’s continue building schools where every student feels seen, supported, and set up for success.
