Dr. Danilo H. Cabalu is an accomplished scholar, educator, and researcher with over three decades of experience in the fields of English, Literature, Sociology, and Humanities. As a philosopher of education, Dr. Cabalu firmly believes that education is not only a means of acquiring knowledge but also a pathway to becoming a better, more fulfilled person.
Throughout his career, Dr. Cabalu has served as a respected faculty member and leader in numerous academic institutions. He has held significant administrative positions, such as serving as the College Dean at Saint Bernadette College of Alabang, where he oversaw academic programs and ensured the advancement of education. His teaching career spans prestigious institutions like Lyceum of the Philippines University, Far Eastern University, and Technological Institute of the Philippines, where he has contributed to the development of courses in English, Literature, Humanities, and Sociology.
A true scholar, Dr. Cabalu holds a Doctor of Philosophy in English and Literature from Manuel L. Quezon University, where his dissertation focused on the knowledge, awareness, and attitudes towards Greek Literature, which underscores his deep academic interest in world literature. He also holds a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Social Studies, further cementing his expertise and commitment to educational leadership.
Dr. Cabalu is also a passionate researcher and published author. His research presentations at international conferences, such as those held at Charles University in Prague and the Athens Institute for Education and Research, reflect his global engagement in the academic community. He has authored key textbooks, including Rizal: The Man and the Hero and Sociology: A Modular Approach, which have been widely adopted in educational curricula.
Beyond his work in education, Dr. Cabalu is also involved in various professional affiliations. He serves as the Research Director at Oxford Philippines International School, where he oversees academic research and contributes to the institution's continued academic excellence. His passion for education extends to his involvement with Western Colleges, where he teaches graduate-level students.
